The Romanesque parish church of Palazzo Pignano is dedicated to San Martino and was built at the end of the 11th century. In its almost 1000 years of life it has been damaged, modified, renovated, decorated and restored several times. Inside, the ancient frescoes of the two Madonnas placed at the vault of the triumphant arch and some fragments of a Crucifixion in the center of the apse. Of particular interest are the terracotta sculptures representing the lamentation of the dead Christ.
