The summit of the Corno della Paura, which literally means “horn of fear”, is 1,518 meters high. The viewpoint is a popular destination not only for hikers, but also for mountain bikers. The view extends from the Pasubio massif in the Vicentine Alps to the Dolomites and from the Lessin mountains on Lake Garda to the Altissimo di Nago, one of the highest peaks of the Monte Baldo massif.
The military remains of the Austro-Hungarian Empire from the First World War along the way are striking. The Corno della Paura was an ideal checkpoint to monitor the passes of the Vallagarina valley.

The Corno della Paura is one of the most panoramic places on the entire Monte Baldo. fortified during the First World War with anti-aircraft emplacements and barracks, it allows a wonderful 360-degree view of the entire Monte Baldo chain, the Vallagarina, the Lessini Mountains and the Monte Pasubio group, even the Brenta Dolomites and the glacier group of the Adamello
