Due to the high solidarity of the Dalai Lama with Tibet, he is very often in Leh and the surrounding area. After all, the majority of the population is Buddhist. In Spituk, a small neighboring village, a temple was built in his honor, which serves as his residence during his visits. That's why you should be sure to find out if it is not by accident that your Holiness arrives during your own visit - in 2016, the Dalai Lama held an event in Choglamsar.
