Nocelle Village and Viewpoint

The small inhabited center is truly suggestive and characteristic, it is the starting point for the famous Path of the Gods, which I recommend doing in reverse, i.e. starting from Bomerano and arriving in Nocelle. The route is a false plan starting from Nocelle, in reality it is all uphill with large rocks to pass over. The ground is predominantly humid, therefore very slippery and absolutely not to be walked on with unsuitable shoes. The beauty of the wetland habitat is breathtaking. Ferns of multiple species, orchids and a small stream near a field of stone cairns! Best avoided with or after rain.

Part of the municipality of Positano, immersed in an uncontaminated nature of holm oaks, brooms, lemon groves and vineyards, Nocelle - the village of hazelnuts - is a small rural village suspended between the sky and the sea from which you can enjoy one of the most enchanting views of the coast Amalfi, up to Capri and Punta Campanella.
Located a short distance from the city center, in the past, thanks to its strategic position, from here it was possible to spot pirate ships in advance and warn the population of the imminent incursion.
It is certainly the ideal starting point for organizing pleasant walks along the mountain paths: trekking enthusiasts will have the pleasure of combining their passion for mountain excursions and contact with nature with one of the most evocative and exclusive panoramas in the world .

Nocelle, part of the community of Positano on the Amalfi coast, is at the western end of the Sentiero degli Dei, or Path of Gods, hiking trail.
