The white, triangular lattice beacon with a gallery and hemispherical green copper cupola roof is located on the Abbehauser Sieltief, just before the Grossensiel sluice lock, south of Nordenham, at km 56.2. The tower was built in 1897/98 and initially served a few kilometers to the north as the Einswarden front light until it was moved to its current location in 1914. In the summer of 2010, the lighthouse received a new anti-corrosion coating for 150,000 euros.
