Llucalcari is a tiny, authentic village and a worthwhile destination or stopover on a hike. It's not a suitable starting point, as all parking spaces are reserved for residents.
Despite its inconspicuous appearance, the village was equipped with five (!) watchtowers in the 14th century to protect against pirates. Three of these are still preserved today and are integrated into residential buildings, for example, the Casa d'Amunt and Can Simó.
