Hoeve Willem III is one of the royal farms that were built in 1913 on the initiative of King Willem III. The farms were built to make the land released after peat farming useful for livestock farming and agriculture. In the meantime, the Wilhelmina and Willem III farms, among others, have been given the status of national monument because they are characteristic as a building and representative of the ideas that prevailed at the time.
