The dovecote probably dating from the 15th century, attests to the presence of a seigniorial manor in the Middle Ages of which nothing remains. It is the dovecote which establishes the difference between the manor and the big farm. According to article 137 of the Customs of Normandy, the right of dovecote is the exclusive prerogative of the owners of hauberk fiefs.
This round granite tower is topped with a dome with a so-called "heap of load" cover which leaves gaping in the center the exit orifice of the doves.
This type of dovecote called "on foot" is often isolated in the middle of a yard or serves as a corner tower.
Inside, it is lined with pigeon houses called "boulins" which are open between staggered stone beds to avoid droppings.
