Borndiek Observation Tower – View of Skandinavienkai and Priwall

From the “Borndiek” observation tower you have an excellent panoramic view of the Traveförde with the Priwall opposite, the Pötenitzer Wiek, the Mecklenburg Traveufer, but also a distant view towards Travemünde.For example, shipping on the Trave or loading work on the directly neighboring Skandinavienkai can be observed particularly well.
An information board was created and placed on the observation platform so that one can better orientate oneself in the variety of close-up and long-distance sights from the observation tower.
The board explains the different landscapes of the Traveförde and provides information about the water birds that live here and, with a bit of luck, can also be observed, such as goosander, golden jack or whooper swan.
The observation tower is at the northern end of the Dummersdorfer Ufer. It is a worthwhile excursion destination and can be easily reached via the area's hiking trails from the central car park on Hirtenbergweg or from the end of the “Sandfeld” road. The ways to the observation towers are recognizable by green signs in the area.

From here you have a beautiful view of the Trave and the Skandinavienkai.
