The Löckermoos and the associated Löckersee in Gosau is one of the most beautiful high moors in Europe. The small lake with the imposing view of the mighty prongs of the Gosaukamm is at an altitude of about 1400 meters and is popular with big and small hikers. The word "Löckern" comes from the Gosau dialect and describes the nature-protected mountain pines.
