A nice place to take a break or just to keep your feet in the water.

Drive around the Brenner Moor, the largest inland salt marsh bog in Schleswig-Holstein. On the 6-kilometer tour in the north of Bad Oldesloe you can observe rare species of birds and plants and experience complete tranquility in some places. Ten adventure stations, accompanied by a flyer, invite you to explore the nature reserve.
In the evening, the sunsets offer beautiful reflections in the moor and on the Trave. It is sometimes difficult to say where the bog area ends and the sky begins.
The start and end point of this tour is the parking lot "Zur Grünen Brücke" in Bad Oldesloe (Wolkenwehe district).
Cycling is not allowed on the wooden plank path, but you can push your bike there and enjoy the wonderful views of the moor.

The Green Bridge is located in the Brenner Moor nature reserve in Bad Oldesloe and is actually used to cross the Trave. However, it is the ideal place to watch sparkling beautiful sunsets. From the bridge you can see the west following the course of the Trave. Here the light of the setting sun breaks in the water of the river and makes the place appear magical.
Since you are away from roads in the middle of the nature reserve, you only hear the wind and the water.
Parking is available in the parking lot "Zur green bridge" in cloud drift. For the way back you should pack a flashlight.

Quaint plank and dam paths through the moor. Partly with small corners + bench. But at least in the summer, especially on weekends, many walkers and cyclists.

Very nice section. The paths are easy to navigate. Another week and the Pombesel would bloom. 😉

The trave crossing is also the first access route to the Brenner Moor, this is a great highlight. The Brenner Moor is the largest salt moor in the interior of Schleswig-Holstein. The salinity of the salt springs partially reaches that of the North Sea. A jewel of nature, but heavily frequented on weekends.

A visit is worthwhile in every season. Whether in spring, summer, autumn or winter. The moor has a different face every time. We went there on New Years morning. A magical light made me think of the Erlkönig.
