‘The Long Road to Passchendaele’ monument was unveiled on August 19 2017 marking the centenary of the battle. It is a sculpture of ten silhouetted soldiers marching towards Passendale. The group measures 48 meters long, three meters high and is made of seven tons of Corten steel.
The silhouettes represent troops of all nations and an adjacent signpost shows how far the soldiers were fighting from home.
