I can recommend it! Is a real 50s feeling and you can take the bike with you (most of them at least, up to a maximum of 20 kilos is allowed) - only upwards costs three euros. You can explore Schloss Burg at the top and drive back down the mountain to continue your tour. Top!

The Burg cable car was opened in 1952 as the first passenger cable car in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Every year, around 200,000 passengers use this unique technical feature in the Bergisches Land.

The cable car leads from the Wupper valley up to the underground mountain station (not barrier-free, including stairs) near the Bergisches Land count's residence, Burg Castle.

A wonderful panoramic view of the valley and the forests of the Bergisches Land rounds off the cable car ride.

Hiking

A chairlift in the Bergisches Land .... that's something special. At the beginning of the journey, we will drive over the Wupper and then up to the castle. Small prices: driveway for family with two children € 9.80 (2017). The lift is old, but really well maintained! Nice that there are operators who still make the effort to make a little "flight" in our region.
