The route around the lake has a few inclines and obstacles, but it is also manageable for younger children without any problems. In addition to fantastic panoramic views, there are also a few waterfalls to be admired.

The Tseuzier is a reservoir that was created by the construction of the Rawyl dam (1953-1957). The lake, surrounded by forests and meadows, offers hikers a refreshing experience of nature. The path goes counter-clockwise around the lake. The starting point is at the Restaurant du Barrage de Zeuzier at 1777 meters above sea level. The restaurant's panoramic terrace provides refreshment before or after the hike. At the far end of the lake, the path passes the source of the Bisse de Sion. The historic irrigation canal leads the water to the vines and slopes and ultimately feeds the Sionne, which flows through the Valais canton capital. Shortly after the picturesque source, the bisse crosses a mountain stream below by means of a wooden construction. The surroundings are magical: The Alpine meadows of Rawyl, surrounded by rocks and waterfalls, invite you to dream. The "Gîte Lourantze" invites you to take a break with its tipi and dormitory. The route leading from here over the Rawyl Pass into the Bernese Oberland was used by the Romans as a trading path. The circumnavigation of the lake continues along the bisse, which here and there disappears into tunnels or passages carved into rock. The path then leads back along the bank to the starting point at the dam. Tip for families with small children: The entire hike conquers an altitude difference of 140 meters - therefore a child carrier is more suitable than a stroller. The second part of the hike is flatter, with a stroller it is advisable to complete the outward and return route along the west bank. Highlights Easy, ityllic hike in the most beautiful surroundings Alpine pastures at the end of the lake with friendly mountain inn
