The Negraresi call the rock in the local Veronese dialect "Sengia Sbusa" which translated into Italian means "Pietra Perata".
In Latin it was called "Petra Pertusa" distorted over time by the locals who call the nearby district "Parpaciusa", Italianized by the Italian topographers in "Preperchiusa".
It is a characteristic limestone tower, clearly visible from the Negrar di Valpolicella valley on the eastern side of the valley characterized by a small cave which, seen from a distance, looks like a hole. It is a very panoramic place that can be reached from the Preperchiusa district going up or from Case Antolini going down. Beware of exposed scenic spots.

Beautiful view over the Valpolicella. Follow the signs in the stretch in the woods, otherwise you risk accidentally skipping the point. A little exposed if you suffer from vertigo.

They are very characteristic and unusual rock formations, characterized by large erosions of the limestone rock so as to form caves, shelters, holes (hence the name Sengia Sbusa) and large towers. It is also a very panoramic point on Negrar and in the distance also on Lake Garda.
