The rock formations that also form the Teufelskanzel above the Hengsteysee are intentionally left standing rocks. From the Teufelskanzel and the rock formation further left z. For example, when the Ruhr sandstone was still being broken here, the broken stone blocks were set down on ropes down to the Ruhr. The rocks served as stopping points for this. Today there is something mystical about the rocks.
