The hiking signpost is located on the square in front of the old "Hammerschänke" in Hartmannsdorf. This is where the so-called "Wolfsthaler Hammer" used to stand. Not far from here, you can still find old evidence of early modern mining and remnants of the "Bim" narrow-gauge railway stop from Wilkau-Haßlau to Carlsfeld. A mine cart next to the signpost points to the history of mining in Hartmannsdorf.
