The most beautiful lake in Italy, ideal for mountain holidays, suitable for families and sports lovers.
October 2, 2017
Alpine lake of natural origin, the second largest in Trentino-Alto Adige after that of Caldonazzo. In 2019 it was awarded, for the sixth consecutive time, as "the most beautiful and cleanest lake in Italy" in the ranking drawn up by Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club.
The northern slope, where the town of Molveno is located, stretches towards the lake on 12 hectares of beach with an English lawn and three playgrounds. A northern branch, inserted between the slopes of the Paganella and the Brenta group, is called "Lago di Bior". The waters of the Lambin stream flow into it. Around the lake there are several Napoleonic forts.
