Beautiful, hidden section of woods that is usually quiet.It's superfast when it's dry and can get a bit muddy around the motorway bridge and the entry into the woods in winter. Spring is the best time to visit, there's a carpet of Bluebells and on the right day it's filed with perfume too. I've often stopped here with a sandwich, found a log to sit and admired the view. There's a very easy and wide bridleway through the wood suitable for all abilities and for those more adventurous riders seek out the single track that's suitable for MTBs and CX bikes, it's slightly hidden but have a look and you'll find it.
