The Kleiner Lückner and Lücknerweg dream loops run partly over the approx. 20km long Hannejuschtweg, which deals with the history, legends and history of Nunkirchen.

At the Kleiner Lückner dream loop there are two information boards for the Hannejuschtweg on the way. (Bell Sage/The Jasper Pits). You can also use a QR code to have both information boards read out to you

    Info about the bell sage

The legend of the bells of Nunkirchen is based on the Thirty Years' War (1618 to 1648). His campaigns and battles took place mainly in what is now Germany. The acts of war themselves, but also the famines and epidemics caused by them, devastated and depopulated entire regions. In the archives it can be read for Nunkirchen that in 1618 the place still had 25 fireplaces (= families). In 1648 there is only talk of one hearth. After the economic and social devastation, some war-affected territories took more than a century to recover from its effects. The theme of the bell saga is the march through of the Swedes (about 1634/35). This historically documented event is also the background to the erection of the "Swedish Cross", which was set up very close to the rest area on the B268 between Nunkirchen and Michelbach (in the direction of Schmelz).
