At the foot of the observation tower are the so-called glass rocks. The bizarre two to three meter high sandstone cliffs made of hardened glass sand offer an ideal picnic spot. They are reminiscent of the rock formations in Saxon Switzerland. The fine quartz sand has been quarried in the area since the 19th century and used to make colorless glass.

Interesting glass sandstone formations of Buck's Switzerland with a beautiful observation tower.
