Best Road Cycling Rides to Shipwrecks at Falkensteiner Ufer

Tips

  • Here are two shipwrecks:
    - the younger one is the wreck of the inland vessel "Uwe": The motor ship was rammed on the Elbe in 1975 and towed to the beach off Blankenese.
    - a few meters further lie between the groynes the remains of the Finnish motor glider "Polstjernan", which caught fire on 20.10.1926 in today's Kiel Canal and was towed and exploited by the Blankeneseer salvage company Harmstorf.

  • You have to stop for the wrecks, otherwise you will miss them.
