Villa Picchetta was in the past the manor house of an ancient agricultural complex and is today the headquarters of the Management Body of the Protected Areas of Ticino and Lake Maggiore. The building is surrounded by beautiful gardens and surmounted by a lantern, where the manor house was once located. The villa incorporates an oratory dedicated to Santa Margherita and the Immaculate Conception and preserves interesting 19th-century frescoes inside the so-called Sala dell'Ottagono.
