I’ve tried doing it on a road bike, and it’s definitely possible, but it’s much more of a gravel route. The gravel can be a bit loose in places, but it’s never really challenging. I have no idea how the Giro was supposed to race over this some years ago! 😅 Still, good on the riders for successfully protesting. This really isn’t suitable for a road race 🚳. That said, it can definitely be done on a road bike. And the views are absolutely amazing. 👌🏻
