Location: Bad Sooden-Allendorf, Werra-Meißner-Kreis, Kassel District, Regierungsbezirk Kassel, Hesse, Germany
The cave is 50 m long, 20 m wide and up to 12 m high.
Today it is a natural monument; it is home to a bat colony. The cave is closed with an iron gate and is only open to the public in the summer months after prior notification to the Bad Sooden-Allendorf municipal marketing department. Finds in the cave show that possibly. People lived here. Bones were found by people here, which could also indicate a place of sacrifice.
Currently, two barrier beacons are set aside and access to the gate is free. Whether that is correct, however, remains to be seen.

The cave is one of the largest caves in Hesse, but is unfortunately now closed due to the risk of collapse. In addition, bats have their nests in it. More about the cave can be found on Wiki:
