Hiking
The tower secured a neuralgic point of the city fortifications, since the deeply cut valley and the Niederbach were difficult to secure. The foundations in the brook bottom and next to the mill were also rather difficult, which is why the tower only had two floors.
A staircase next to the tower and a steel walkway in the same leads to the city wall, which is completely unsecured here and leads up the slope to the Niederburger tower.
