It's hard to imagine that this valley has suffered from water shortages in the past. In order to remedy the chronic lack of water, which has always hit the southwestern slope of the Föpia (2106 m above sea level), namely the mountain above Lavertezzo, created various ancient water extraction systems. Noteworthy in particular are some cisterns with puller and various monolithic tubs in which the few available water was collected.
