"Melzingen sacrificial stone
In the middle of the former Melzinger Heide lies a large granite stone, which is popularly called "sacrificial stone". A deep artificial groove runs over one end of the stone, which was formerly referred to as the "blood groove".
Scientific studies have shown that a lot of organic matter has got into the soil at this point. It can only be assumed that these were offerings. Two hatchets and an ax found here show that the sacrificial stone was built between 2500-600 BC. BC was visited.
