The city center of Uslar is worth seeing due to some beautiful half-timbered houses, especially the old town hall stands out positively here.

The Old Town Hall was built in 1476 and was extensively renovated between 2002 and 2006. It is not known when Uslar received its city rights. All that is known is that today's "Old Town Hall" was built in 1476. However, there was probably a town hall on this site before that, which fell victim to a town fire. After several conversions and extensions, the building was given its present form, probably in the second half of the 17th century. The medieval building was less and less able to meet the demands of modern administration. In 1972, the administration therefore moved to the former Graftschule.
