On the side with the coat of arms of the County of Hanau (whose territory had already fallen to the Landgraviate of Hessen-Kassel), KP was added for Kingdom of Prussia. On the side of the former Electorate of Mainz, the KB for the Kingdom of Bavaria was added (which took over the eastern areas around Aschaffenburg when Kurmainz was dissolved). Today this is the state border between Hesse and Bavaria.
