Mountain biking
A WDR transmitter has existed on the Nordhelle since 1962. The antenna support currently used is a 150 m high reinforced concrete radio tower built in 1984. It is used to broadcast radio programs from WDR and Deutschlandfunk on VHF and in the DAB standard. In addition, twelve public television programs are broadcast in the DVB-T standard.
