Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The 122 hectare waiting head nature reserve is a biotope complex of warm oak dry forests, rocks, dry grass, red beech forest, near-natural brooks and meadows. Numerous warm and dry-loving animal and plant species occur here, such as the whitebeam, the cowslip or the brown fire butterfly as well many species of woodpecker. In the gorges, the rare gorge forest is formed with natural occurrences of summer linden.
