The Schwarzenburg Tower is a beautiful observation tower with a magnificent view. You can see large parts of the Saarbrücken urban area and the nearby Saarland University. When the weather is good you have distant views as far as France. You can find information about opening times here: saarbruecken.de/leben_in_saarbruecken/freizeit/im_gruenen/schwarzenbergturm_st_johann

If you come over the Schwarzenberg, climbing the Schwarzenberg Tower is definitely worth it! You climb 246 steps and then enjoy a magnificent view in all directions.
Highly recommended 👍!!!

The Schwarzenberg Tower stands on a 70 cm high square pedestal, which can be reached on two sides via four steps each. There are annexes on the other two sides. In the tower, a left-hand staircase leads along the inner walls to a height of about 34 m and further in the middle of the tower to the first viewing platform at a height of about 37.5 m. However, this is not accessible. A spiral staircase with 20 steps follows up to the upper viewing platform at a height of about 41 m. This is round and has a diameter of a good nine meters. To reach them, a total of 241 steps have to be overcome. There is no elevator. The tower is accessible from April 1 to October 31 of each year from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Due to the height of 377 meters above sea level, the Schwarzenberg Tower has been used by several operators for radio purposes since the 1950s. Transmitter systems for police and fire brigade radio, VHF radio and mobile radio are currently on at the top of the tower
