The history of the Hell-Bourg thermal baths begins in the 1830s, at a time when there was not yet a passable road to the village (it was opened in 1890). From 1920 onwards, the importance diminished, because geological changes hardly had any thermal effect and the water had to be heated. The landslide caused by the cyclone of 1948 abruptly ended the history of the thermal baths. Today, only the small park with some remains of walls from this period remains.

Hiking

In 1831 the thermal springs were discovered and Hellburg developed into a health resort. However, the water temperature of the hot springs has been falling since 1920, so attempts were initially made to warm the water chemically until a cyclone destroyed the thermal spring in 1948.
