The Oberviechtacher Museum was founded in 1967 by Karl Foißner as the "Doctor Eisenbarth and Heimatmuseum". In 2005/2006 the museum moved from the market square to the market mill. The inauguration took place on July 22, 2005, the official opening took place on May 12, 2006. eisenbarthmuseum.de
