Turckheim Old Town

Turckheim is undoubtedly one of the prettiest villages on the Wine Route. Don't hesitate to stop in its pleasant square or near its lovely fountain.

At Turckheim's former market place, the Place Turenne, is found in a half-timbered ensemble, the bourgeois (Corps de Garde), in front of the "Stockbrunnen" stands. The fountain is fed by a spring, it is dominated by a statue of Mary on a pillar. One of the most impressive half-timbered houses in the center of Turckheim is the Hôtel des deux-clefs, which has a bay window carved with carved figures and beautiful slab windows resting on a stone pillar.
