The Häuslalm is located in the Hochschwab massif in Upper Styria. It is located at 1526m above sea level. in a neck (= mountain pass) between Buchbergkogel (1705 m) and the Zinken (1926 m). The current name Häuslalm derives from this location of the Alm, originally "Halslalm" or "Halselalm".
