Fulda boasts numerous Baroque buildings, including the beautiful Hauptwache opposite the City Palace in Fulda's Baroque Quarter. Located between the cathedral and the old town, the Hauptwache now houses a lovely café and Cuban restaurant with a cocktail bar. The Hauptwache itself, as the name suggests, is a former guardhouse built between 1757 and 1759 by Andreas Gallasini for Prince-Bishop Adalbert von Walderdorff opposite the Fulda City Palace and next to the Paulustore.(Source: rhoentourist.de)

It used to be the headquarters of the city guard, but now houses the Havana bar. Worth a stay at any time.

Very nice...the Hauptwache has a superb location. Mexican-like.
Nibbling on Toppas and sipping cool drinks with loved ones on warm summer nights.
With a direct view of the imposing City Palace...baroque and modern merge in a brilliant way.
