The famous and large ski and tourist center Pec pod Snezkou is 769 m above sea level. and is located in the Eastern Giant Mountains, in the deep valley of the Upa river below the highest Czech mountain - Snezka (1602 m above sea level). A chairlift leads from the northern part of the city to Ruzova hora and Snezka. The town of Pec pod Snezkou consists of two historical parts - Velka Upa with the original mountain architecture buildings on the mountain slopes and the actual Pec with the center at the confluence of the Upa and Zeleny potok.Pec pod Snezkou is surrounded by many peaks. Ruzova hora (1300 m above sea level) is located in the north-east, a number of the highest Giant Mountains - Snezka (1602 m above sea level), Studnicni hora (1554 m above sea level) and Lucni hora (1547 m.) In the north m above sea level). To the west, the city territory border Zadni planina and Lisci hora.
