Nothing really to see anymore as the Fort is used by various organisations as offices (and for selling cars!) however, this is a good waypoint for planning rides along Portsdown Hill. Be careful on the road though as this is also by the entrance for the driving test centre and QA hospital staff park and ride. There are a couple of mini-roundabouts where drivers tend not to give cyclists enough room. Fort Southwick played an important role in the D-Day planning/landings (hence the tank outside) and is one of 5 Forts along the top of the Portsdown Hill route.
