This "resting place" is located at the foot of the Wacholderheide and directly on the path of the Lahnhöhentour. The view of the western Dautphe shows the further course of the tour and the "Natural History Book" is ideal for young and old and has a lot of interesting information ready.

This investigation revealed that two former heathland areas near Dautphe, measuring 0.8 and 1.3 hectares respectively, remained, where regeneration seemed promising. Implementation of the planning began in 2002, the year in which the juniper was declared 'Tree of the Year'. The municipality of Dautphetal, as the owner of the land, supported the project and thus replenished its municipal ecological account. In the spring of 2004, the then Gladenbach Forestry Office carried out extensive clearing measures. Low-growing pines were preserved as landscape-defining trees.
