Gravenhorst Monastery

As its name suggests, Gravenhorst Abbey was once the center of life for the nuns of the Cistercian Order. It was founded and donated in 1256 by Knight Konrad von Brochterbeck and his wife. Today, artists from the region and from all over the world come together to form art and to show whether in the monastery or in the grounds. You can participate for example in workshops, summer studios or cultural events.

Opening hours:
Tuesday to Saturday 2pm - 6pm
On Sundays and public holidays 11am - 6pm

Interesting how diverse this monastery is. There is a lot to experience and discover. The Cafe Clara is also recommended, the prices here are very humane.
