Vilaflor de Chasna, located at 1,400 meters above sea level, is the highest municipality in the Canary Islands. The town is immersed in a sea of pines and has specimens, such as the Pino Gordo and the Pino de las dos Pernadas, which can boast of having lived alongside the Guanches who inhabited the islands before the Spanish conquest.

Hiking

At an altitude of 1,400 meters, Vilaflor at the foot of Mount Teide is the highest town on Tenerife. Be sure to try the almond and honey biscuits that are made here - ideal energizers for cyclists and hikers. And they are very tasty as well. Otherwise, the place is still known for carvings and embroidery. A church and a chapel are the sights in town.
