The Kops reservoir is a reservoir owned by illwerke vkw and was built between 1962 and 1969. The first full damming took place in November 1967, during which the main dam wall sagged by up to 55 mm.[1] It is storage for Kopswerk I, which went into operation in 1969, and Kopswerk II, which was completed in 2009 and is much more powerful and connected via a separate tunnel.

Great region for hiking in the snow! Ideal for a day off skiing

In particular, the circular hiking trail around the Kops reservoir is recommended. Definitely walk on the narrow path

Very easy to reach by car and bus. Very suitable as a starting point for smaller and larger tours.
