A true gem is located on Mühlbach north of the main road: the Umkirch castle mill. The oldest parts of the former castle and spell mill date back to 1750. The municipality acquired the building and with the support of the Förderverein Umkircher Mühle and many donors, restored the ailing building in the years 2002 to 2005. It has been reopened after extensive restoration to the German Mill Day 2005. (Municipality Umkirch)
