1722 Gottfried Christoph Leine built a windmill, which was operated until 1913 by various owners as an oil and grain mill by wind turbine. This was followed by the installation of an electric motor. 1958 ended the grinding operation. The building, which had fallen into disrepair due to weather conditions, was dismantled in 1997 and moved to its current location. It is owned by the municipality and can be visited as a technical monument. In addition to the mill itself, there is also a historic oven
The district Mocherwitz was 1657-1684 affected by witch hunt. Five women got into witch trials, two were burned, two were beheaded. The first victim was Gertraude, wife of Christoph Klepzig.
