Breitachklamm Waterfall

Not far from Tiefenbach lies the entrance to the Breitach Gorge. A natural wonder beyond compare! "There the waters of the Breitach churn and boil, roar and hiss" through the narrow gorge.With vertical and overhanging walls almost 100 meters high, the water thunders over high rocky ledges, swirls through deep pools, and sprays itself into tiny droplets that reflect the light.Some of the gloomy gorge walls have never seen the sun. Deep green mosses and delicate ferns thrive in the damp, and a few intrepid spruce trees have boldly settled on the smallest rocky outcrops.

A breathtaking gorge with a fair entrance fee. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the path upstream is currently one-way. Personally, I think the one-way street is a good thing, and not just because of the coronavirus.
