Hiking

Scout Jens is right: the canal flows off the Ach near the Blaubeuren train station and runs underground to this point. It is used to keep floods away from the city. There is actually a spring nearby: the Naturfreundehaus is only a few hundred meters to the right of the outlet. Immediately in front of this, a small source emerges. It flows into the canal a little below the outlet. The spring is a nice place to rest and a place for children to play.
