Great asphalt, just right for the racer. Unfortunately the cycle path ends shortly before the motorway bridge and you have to continue on the country road. It looks similar shortly after the bridge in the direction of Sankt Gangloff: there is a short stretch of well-developed cycle path to the right of the road, but after about 500m it simply joins the Rodaer Landstrasse. From there it is actually only on the road to Gera.
But it's a start and hopefully the cycle path network will be expanded.
