At this junction, you can either follow the Upheaval Dome Trail to get a quick look into the Upheaval Crater.

If you feel (a lot) more adventurous, plan a dayhike on the 9-mile Syncline Loop. The trail is sometimes hard to follow and you will have to climb at some sections, but have you ever hiked into a meteor crater? Take plenty of water for this journey, at least a gallon per person. The hike will take longer and you will need more water than you think. There is also some loss and gain in elevation of around 1,200 feet.
